Western New York Romance Writers (WNYRW) is a chapter of the non-profit organization Romance Writers of America (RWA). Our goal is to promote excellence in romantic fiction, to help writers become published and establish careers in their writing field, and to provide continuing support for writers within the romance publishing industry.

May: Buffalo Public Library – Buffalo Public Library, how authors and the library can work together and how authors can get their books into the library
July: No meeting – RWA National Conference
August: Annual picnic, location TBD
September: Zara West http://www.zarawestsuspense.com – Using Arts to Develop Plot and Characters workshop
November: Dan and Melissa Shanahan of Torn Space Theater. How to Effectively Use Emotion to Connect to Your Audience
December: Annual holiday party – December 16th, St Joseph Community Room
We meet at 11 am on the third Saturday of the month in the community room at Sisters of Charity Hospital – St. Joseph Campus, 2605 Harlem Road, Cheektowaga, New York, unless otherwise stated.
Guests interested in writing romance fiction are welcome to attend up to two chapter meetings prior to joining WNYRW. After that, annual dues are $25, payable in October. Dues will be prorated for those joining in other months. All members of WNYRW must also be members of RWA and provide their national RWA membership number for processing.
