Western New York Romance Writers (WNYRW) is a chapter of the non-profit organization Romance Writers of America. Our goal is to promote excellence in romantic fiction, to help writers become published and establish careers in their writing field, and to provide continuing support for writers within the romance publishing industry.
2013 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
February 16th — Jason Mollica, president, JRM Comm. Mr. Mollica will talk about how authors can use social media to strengthen their brand.
March 16th — “Push to the next level” PRO/PAN discussion and brainstorming, craft exercise
April 20th — Lisa Scott, who will speak on the hybrid self-publishing and traditional publishing path she’s taken
May 18th – Agent Gary Roussie, US Border Patrol, will talk about homeland security and issues related to the borders/international trade
June 15th — Craft exercise
July — No meeting (RWA National conference)
August 17th — Summer picnic, TBD
September 21st — No regular meeting; WNYRW writing retreat
October 19th — Mary Sue Seymour, literary agent
November 16th — tentative; editor from Harlequin
December 7th — Holiday party, 11am, Community Room, St. Joseph’s Hospital
MEETING INFORMATION
We meet at 11 am on the third Saturday of the month in the community room at Sisters of Charity Hospital – St. Joseph Campus, 2605 Harlem Road, Cheektowaga, New York, unless otherwise stated.
